Top tips for our Mayflower sauce mixes
The great thing about our sauce mixes is that they’re super versatile. Not only can they go with any meal, but you can make them just how you like.
They also make great bases for pies and pasties, as well as adding extra flavour to stews and casseroles.
For a thicker sauce, mix in 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2-3 tablespoons of cold water. If you like your sauce on the thinner side, gradually add more water while heating and stirring.
Our sauce mixes are packed full of flavour, but there are ways to elevate the taste to suit you. Chicken or vegetable stock cubes are a simple way to boost the flavour. If you want to go all out, add sautéed onions, garlic or chili.
