Beef in Chilli Black Bean Sauce
Tender strips of beef cooked in our Chilli Black Bean sauce for a bold, savoury dish with just the right kick of heat. A Chinese takeaway favourite that’s quick, comforting and packed with flavour.

Ingredients
Serves 3-4
- 300g lean beef strips
- 400g Mayflower Chilli Black Bean Sauce
- 2 peppers, sliced
- 1 red onion, sliced
- 1 handful of carrots, cut into thin batons or sliced
- 1 handful of beansprouts
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Egg fried rice, to serve
- Prawn toast, to serve

Method
- Add a drizzle of oil to a hot wok and stir fry the beef for a few minutes until browned but not fully cooked through.
- Add the peppers, red onion and carrots. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes, until the vegetables begin to soften.
- Stir in the beansprouts and cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in the Mayflower Chilli Black Bean Stir-Fry Sauce and stir well to coat everything evenly.
- Cook for a further 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until the sauce is piping hot and the beef is cooked through.
- Serve with egg fried rice and prawn toast.
